As CEO, Pat has been in the insurance business for 48 years. He has a bloodline of insurance in Texas, dating back to 1909 when his grandfather, W .H. Quirk, Sr., began working for the old Woulett Rating Bureau. W.H. started Quirk & Company in 1930, which still exists today as a managing general agency here in San Antonio. Pat began his insurance experience as a Workmen's Compensation auditor, then as a state inspector for the Texas State Board of Insurance. Later, Pat was employed by Quirk & Company and Aetna Insurance Company as a special agent. Branching out from Quirk & Company, Pat started Pat Quirk Insurance, which later evolved into the Independent Insurance Center Inc. in 1986. Pat attended Central Catholic High School, University of Texas and joined Sigma Nu fraternity. Pat graduated from Trinity University and is a member of The Governor's Club, Blue Wing and plays an avid role in promoting and selling Landowner and Hunting Liability in partnership with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Association. He is also very dedicated to selling Personal, Commercial, Health and Life Insurance.

Dan started his insurance career in 1985 working with his father at Carmody & Associates, Inc. In 1994, Dan merged with Independent Insurance Center. Dan is a San Antonio native, a Veteran in the US Navy, and has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Finance from UTSA. He is a board certified Insurance Counselor, a member of the World Affairs Council, and an avid adventurist and world traveler. Dan is also involved in the community as a member of TEDx San Antonio. TED is an annual event where some of the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. "TED" stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design - three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future.

Frank's motto is "Insuring the assets you cannot afford to lose." Frank earned a BBA in Insurance and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'em horns), and is a Certified Insurance Counselor (The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors). He has an Associate's degree in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America, and is a past President of The Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio. A long-time San Antonio resident, he attended Central Catholic High School. Frank has been in the insurance business since 1977, developing extensive relationships with experts in various fields that connect to needs in both Business and Personal Insurance, including life and health insurance.

Don has been in the insurance business since 1964 when he started Don Glasscock Insurance. He partnered with Pat Quirk in 1977, then became a founder of Independent Insurance Center in 1986. He has Insurance and Economics degrees from North TX State and St Mary's University respectively. His focus is primarily Commercial Insurance such as Restaurants, the Sign Industry and Oil and Gas. He is a lifetime director and emeritus member of the San Antonio Livestock exposition the San Antonio German Club and past Board Member of YMCA San Antonio. He enjoys running, hunting, skiing, gardening, cooking and relaxing at Medina Lake.

David Kay is a San Antonio native and joined IIC in 2012 following a distinguished 18 yr career as an Allstate agency owner. David strives to offer superior value to his clients by listening to their needs, then matching them with the right insurers to get them the most competitive premium and tailored coverage with superior service and agency support. David takes his professional education seriously by achieving and continuing to update both his Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager designations since 1994 and 2002 respectively from the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. David has a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech and a knack for problem solving that earned him his first job as a computer network engineer at NASA's Johnson Space Center from '91 to '93.
David is proud to continue a legacy of excellence by becoming his agency's third generation owner. It was originally established in 1941 by Mr Hamilton Bonnet in the historic Milam Building downtown and continued to thrive under the guidance of Virginia Rodgers who continues to lend her knowledge and experience as consultant.
David is an avid Mountain and Road cyclist and amateur racer and holds both Expert and Category 3 racing licenses respectively. He has two daughters with whom he enjoys playing guitar, singing and karaoke.

Margaret has had a dynamic management career in marketing and selling gift and textile products wholesale. She has experience creating an account base with 400 vendor lines in the textile, table top, and gift industries in South Texas through the Dallas Market Center. Additionally, Margaret has owned and operated a Dallas showroom, managed sales staff in seven territories and covered sales distribution in eight states. Margaret has co-owned and operated a retail location, NOAH'S, in San Antonio, which focused on table top, decorative, cooking and wine accessories, table linens and general gifts from Europe. Margaret is an expert in building top-producing sales with yearly amounts at $14 million in her past occupation. Margaret has had an outstanding record of achievement in creating an account base with a repeat customer foundation of 5,000 customers.
She says, "I believe in being an excellent communicator, combined with the ability to actively manage change and service an account base. As the daughter of Pat, I have decided to expand my career to insurance and become an active producer at Independent Insurance Center selling personal and commercial insurance. I look forward to building upon an outstanding foundation! My obsessions are fishing, skeet, dove hunting and traveling."

Virginia joined Independent Insurance Center in 2002 as a producer and acts as the agency treasurer. Her experience comes from having owned and operated Hamilton Bonnet & Company for many years. She is a native San Antonian and graduated from Our Lady of Lake University. She is experienced in all lines of property and casualty insurance, and often works with people starting new businesses or companies.

Ron was born into the insurance business and began working in the industry in 1962 at the age of 16. Ron's family business was founded in 1903 as the Oppenheimer Insurance Agency, and has a long and distinguished history in San Antonio. Ralph Zork purchased the agency from its original owners, then merged his agency with Bill Lutz to create Zork and Lutz Insurance Agency. When he returned to Texas from serving during World War II, Ron's father and renowned golfer, Fred Rhode, became a partner with Mr. Lutz. After studying at the feet of these insurance legends, Ron joined the firm in 1970, becoming a partner with his father and uncle, Al Rohde. The agency became Rohde & Company Insurance Agency, and was soon joined by Vincent Losada. In 1985, Ron, Vince, and Rohde & Company became one of the original founders of Independent Insurance Center, Inc.
Blake graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in finance in 1992. He began working at the family agency, Bob Sales Insurance, which he later purchased with his brother, Wade. They joined IIC in 1995. After many successful years in the Rio Grande Valley, he recently moved his family to Boerne where he hopes to expand the IIC brand. Blake, his wife Natalie, and their two daughters enjoy all outdoor activities and love to travel with friends.

Stan graduated from Valparaiso University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served twenty three years on active and reserve duty. He started in the property and casualty insurance business in 1979, running his own agency until 1995 when he merged with the Independent Insurance Center. He and his wife Karen are active in their church, like to travel and play with classic cars.

Audrey joined the Independent Insurance Center in 2007. The Williams family has owned and operated the Gene Williams General Insurance Agency since 1974. Audrey is experienced in all lines of property and casualty insurance.

Jack joined the Independent Insurance Center in 2007 with the merger of the Gene Williams Agency, which specialized in personal and business insurance. Jack has been in the insurance business for 25 years.

Tommy has been in the insurance business for 45 years. In 1994, he merged Wilson Insurance Agency with Independent Insurance Center. Tommy is experienced in all lines of property and casualty insurance, and specializes in one of his passions: Antique and Classic Automobile Insurance.

Fred brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the agency. He is a former teacher and counselor, served in the US Army Reserve and retired with the rank of Major. He entered the insurance industry in 1978 as a Life Insurance Agent for the Great American Reserve, and began his property and casualty career with Employers Insurance of Texas in 1988. In 1991, he managed a local satellite office for Anco Insurance for two years, joined the Gene Williams Insurance Agency in 1993 and became its commercial lines Manager in 1998. He continued in that capacity until it merged with Independent Insurance Center in July 2007. Fred continues to serve as manager/producer for the Gene Williams Agency.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music Education from Trinity University, a Masters Degree in Education (Guidance & Counseling) from Our Lady of the Lake College, Certification for School Administration, and graduation from the Officer Advance Course and the Command and General Staff College. His insurance education includes the completion of the Life Underwriters Training Council's two-year course in personal insurance, various continuing education classes in the property and casualty area, the completion of the Certified Insurance Counselor course and the earning of the professional designation of CIC. Customer service and insurance education have been a priority during his 30+ years in the insurance business. He enjoys visiting with his clients and new prospects, listening to their needs and working with them to provide the best solution possible. He also loves to teach insurance topics as the opportunities arise.
