Dwelling Fire (Texas Dwelling Policy)

The Texas Dwelling Policy, commonly known as the "fire" policy, is written on residential buildings and contents that are usually not eligible for a Homeowners Policy. The Dwelling policy covers one or two family dwellings, outbuildings and garages. Either the owner of the property or a tenant can occupy the dwelling.

The property can be insured for damage by fire, windstorm, hail, vandalism, vehicle collision, collapse and several other perils to loss. While this dwelling policy does not have the breadth of coverage on contents, it does have many of the same building coverage a homeowner’s policy offers. This policy is ideal for rental property, in that the rental income can be insured for perils included in the policy.
